Walker S1 completes a two-month Foxconn factory pilot
Foxconn and UBTECH documented parcel handling at the electronics manufacturer's Longhua factory before planning a second training phase in Zhengzhou.
By January 2025, UBTECH's Walker S1 had completed two months of work training at Foxconn's factory in Longhua District, Shenzhen. Published photographs show the robot handling a parcel in the factory, while UBTECH's annual report describes the first phase as logistics carrying.
The companies said future pilot scenarios could include handling, sorting, gluing and quality inspection. A planned next phase at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory was intended to cover more logistics areas, but that plan is not evidence that those tasks or the second site were already operational.
No fleet size, throughput, success rate or intervention data was disclosed for the Longhua trial. This record therefore documents a completed on-site training phase and keeps the broader partnership claims outside the measured result.
