Walker S1 trains at Lynk & Co's Chengdu plant
UBTECH's annual report identifies charging-connector tests and material handling as the third phase of its industrial work with Geely.
UBTECH's 2024 annual report documents Walker S1 training at the Lynk & Co vehicle plant in Chengdu. Geely arranged the work as a third training phase after earlier Walker S1 activity at Zeekr's Ningbo plant.
The stated tasks were plugging and unplugging vehicle charging connectors and material handling. The filing also says factory training improved joint stability, whole-machine reliability, battery endurance, navigation and motion control across the wider program, but it does not isolate those improvements by site.
The source provides no Chengdu fleet size, cycle time, task-success rate or date of continuous production use. The site is therefore recorded as a pilot, and results from BYD or Zeekr should not be transferred to this deployment.
