Deployment story
XPENG IRON enters internal factory trials; station results remain undisclosed
XPENG’s original 2024 announcement describes internal operations; later humanoid manufacturing milestones do not prove customer deployment.
XPENG's November 6, 2024 AI Day release says the original IRON humanoid had been integrated into internal daily operations, focusing on factories and stores. Contemporary reporting describes factory trials for selected tasks, but the primary release does not identify a workcell or measured production outcome.
This record preserves the historical first-generation IRON application claim as an internal pilot. It does not copy specifications or commercial plans from Next-Gen IRON. XPENG's September 2026 robot-production-line announcement concerns manufacturing humanoids and planned commercialization, not proof that a new model has taken over vehicle assembly.
The useful next evidence is a station-level account: which object was handled, how the task connected to the line and how often engineers intervened. Without that, an internal application statement cannot support a productivity or labour-replacement calculation. No operating facility is inferred from the AI Day event venue or XPENG's headquarters.
