Industrial Applications
The first D7 launched September 19, 2024 as a 1650 mm / 45 kg semi-humanoid on an omnidirectional base. Manufacturer gives 30 body DOF, or 50 with a hand attachment, 650 mm arm reach and more than eight hours endurance. These describe the original platform, not the 140 kg 2026 industrial redesign.
This editorial assessment concerns industrial buyer readiness. It is not an independent performance test.

Manipulation and Perception
30 body DOF, or 50 with an unspecified dexterous-hand attachment. The old count is not automatically paired DH11 active/passive scope. Arm reach 650 mm, endpoint precision 0.1 mm and 10 kg arm lifting are manufacturer claims; per-arm/combined wording and pose are unclear. Later brochure’s 20 kg family payload does not establish a rated load at full reach.
April 2025 brochure gives 200 TOPS. Hierarchical planning and multimodal perception are claimed; exact sensor counts, module model and independent autonomy results unknown. Original 2 m/s maximum and ten-degree slope differ from the new D7’s full-load eight-degree specification.
SDK and Integration
No inspected current original-D7 SDK/API, firmware, ROS or simulation mapping. Later 2026 toolchain and general PUDU Android APIs do not establish compatibility or entitlement on historical hardware.
| API type | Exact humanoid SDK/API package and licence require manufacturer confirmation |
|---|---|
| Languages | Needs verification |
| ROS support | No exact-model ROS distribution or maintained bridge verified |
| Simulation | No public exact-model simulator/URDF/controller licence inspected |
| Offline operation | Private-cloud architecture exists; exact humanoid eligibility, all-feature offline operation and AI data flows remain unverified. |
| Teleoperation | No public exact-model teleoperation/recovery API entitlement verified |
| Software updates | Exact firmware compatibility, signed updates, rollback and maintenance lifetime unverified. |
| Documentation | Open documentation |
| Integration constraints | General delivery/navigation APIs and advertised SDKs do not prove purchased full-body or hand-control access. Match model, firmware and package; validate integration and acceptance criteria for the intended site. |
Safety Notes
Perception, compliant control and immediate-stop marketing do not establish safety-rated collaborative operation. No exact-generation signed EU declaration, protective-stop performance or validated payload envelope inspected. Use a controlled evaluation area and validated loading, traffic, stop/recovery and charging procedures.
